The Idaho Green Expo was inspired by many other similar events happening around the country, and Joanie and I thought it would be awesome to put on a Green Expo in Idaho!   And within a fairly short amount of time, and with a LOT of help from some great people in Boise, we held our first Expo in May of 2008.  

It's a long story, from having that first community meeting where we gathered up loads of volunteers, to forming a non-profit Organization (GreenWorks Idaho) to running five fantastically successful Expos.  However, all good things eventually come to an end, but nevertheless, running these Expos was definitely the most rewarding work I have ever done!

Each Expo consisted of over 100 Exhibitors, dozens of Workshops and several Keynote Speakers.  Plus, from year to year, a variety of add-on events would be included, such as a Green Car Show, or a Green Fashion Show or a Green Film Festival.  There was also an Eco-Kids program and concerts and Food Truck Rallies.  It was simply an awesome experience, and with Joanie and I at the helm, and with untold hours invested by countless of wonderful volunteers, the Idaho Green Expo was a huge success!

This all adds up to some fantastic memories.  I'm really so indebted to the people of Boise to help us turn our vision into an incredible reality that just helped to make Boise and even better place to live!
