Art
Ever since my Father built a darkroom at our house when I was about 12 years old, I've loved photography. I even remember telling people that when I grow up, I want to be a photographer for National Geographic. True story!
Well unfortunately that didn’t happen, but my love of taking pictures never ceased. And through the years, mostly when traveling, I kept looking for unique subjects and angles, and I would put in extra effort to think about the shot’s composition, trying to bring as much artistry to my travel photos as I could.
And then several years ago I taught myself how to enhance my photographs with software. This allowed me to take these images of reality, and like an Impressionist painter, add something of myself to the picture. In most of my photographs, I usually blend the two, and the images end up being half reality and half fantasy. It’s been a fun and creative outlet for me!
As a result of this growing passion, I have now found myself in the midst of an ever expanding portfolio of these images, and I have finally decided to get a little more serious about my art. So for my first step I have created this website to share some of these images, and I’m calling this collection of photographs “Real Impressions”.
I hope you enjoy them.
